What is Master's Commission?

Master's Commission is often described as a discipleship training program but the heart of the ministry goes much deeper. It not only affects the lives of the students, it profoundly affects the lives that it reaches. It is hands on training, discipling young men and women to minister to the hurting and lost of this world. Master's Commission is not bound to an area or aspect of ministry, but will minister to any person in need whether young, old, poor, in the pew, or on the street. It is color blind and undivided. It has only one mission, to preach the good news to the poor, to bind up the broken hearted and to proclaim freedom to the captives.

Our primary goal at EMC is to provide an intensive nine-month discipleship program for those who desire to intimately know God and make Him known. Our secondary goal is to give strong emphasis to "hands-on" ministry experience and training. Philosophically, we are not opposed to a four-year Bible school format; However, we feel that providing hands-on training translates into a life-changing impact after just nine months, and the cost for that nine months is significantly less than the cost of most Bible colleges.

Is Master's Commission Just For those Desiring To Enter Full-Time Ministry?

NO!! It is for those who have a sincere desire to be a cut above the norm and to be whole-hearted in their pursuit of the Lord. It is for those who want their lives to be punctuated with destiny in their hearts. As serious Christians, we believe that whatever we do career-wise, whether it be in a secular or church arena, should be done with the thought, "How can I further the Kingdom of God through this? Our goal is to fan genuine ministry-consciousness as opposed to the materialism and hedonism we see all around us. Furthermore, we believe that in these last days, the Holy Spirit is calling out champions who are not salaried church staff, but those who work in the secular arena. Our own ministry ranks here in Evansville are full of incredible people ewho work secular jobs to support their "ministry habits"!

When Is Master's Commission?

Master's Commission begins in September and ends in June.
